Cream Corned Butter – Just like Grandma Used to Make!
Looky what I got!
It’s a vegetable!
Can you guess which one?
It’s sweet corn!
Sweet corn is a summer treat and some people eat it completely plain!
Why would they do that?
That scares me!
It’s so easy to make sweet corn taste better!
All you need is enough sweet corn to satisfy your family…
And a stick of butter for each cob of corn.
So if you make one corn, you will need one stick of butter.
Two corns equals two sticks of butter
Three corns = three butters
Four corns = four butters
Five corns = five butters
Six corns = six butters
Can you figure this out from here?
Seven corns = seven butters
Eight corns = eight butters
Nine corns = nine butters.
Ten corns = ten butters.
If you are serving more than ten corns…
You are shit out of luck.
Slice the kernels off the corn.
You will need a knife.
And a cutting board.
And a hand.
You grasp the knife with the hand and…
Just cut the damn kernels off the damn cob!
Don’t forget to take the wrapper off the butter!
Now place the stick of butter beside the pile of kernels of one cob.
One corn = one butter.
Haven’t we covered this already?
And simply roll the butter into the corn.
Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’!
Though your limbs are swollen
Keep those butters rolling rawhide!
Rain and wind and weather
Diabetes is forever
Keep those butters rollin’
When your butter is thoroughly covered, generously apply salt and pepper….
And then douse the corned butter in cream!
It almost looks like a REAL CORN!
Except SO MUCH BETTER!
What if you want to serve my creamed corned butter to the girls?
Perhaps a ladies luncheon…?
Or a bridal shower…?
Or a mother daughter tea….?
You are going to want to fancy it up a bit…
And nothing says fancy…
Like a few sprigs of fresh basil…
The more basil – the fancier.
At least that’s what I always say.
But if you want it even fancier!
Add some flowering dill!
It will make that creamed corned butter bloom!
For the piece de reisistance?
Cilantro that has gone to seed!
It’s simply gorgeous!
Your guests will never forget this dish!
It’s a tribute to garden fresh sweet corn like none other!
Sometimes people just lay down and die after they eat this.
Death from pure culinary bliss!
That’s how good it is!
Make it for someone you love and watch them die of happiness today!
It’s the right thing to do.
